Description

At Cedars Day Nursery in Mentmore Road we prioritise the importance of outdoor play.

All children at our Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' nursery have access to our large, natural garden area on a daily basis as we recognise the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional and physical development.

The children enjoy planting vegetables and tasting their produce, served by our dedicated Nursery Chef.

Parent’s value our knowledgeable and experienced practitioners, including many long term employees.

Extra-curricular activities include musical Hartbeeps for the under-twos every Monday and Mini Strikers for over-twos on a Friday.

Our Green Flag Award means that there are plenty of 'Green Initiatives' for children to get involved in too. Our Eco-Committee and Children’s Council developed our ‘Cedars Eco-Code’ and Action Plan to further develop sustainable living in our nursery.

We provide a convenient service for parents; we are centrally located, close to the station and our fees are fully inclusive.

Open 7.15am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year, except bank holidays and 2 inset days.

To arrange a visit please contact the nursery.

Testimonials

My children have had the best time at Cedars. We are amazed at how they have developed and we will be very sad to say goodbye. Thanks so much for all you have done.

Absolutely brilliant! All the staff have been nothing but amazing this year and the past 2.5 years my twins have attended Cedars. They leave to start ‘big school’ in September and we will be most sad to leave. We have gained many friends and take away many happy memories. Thank you.

Cedars Day Nursery is fantastic. Our daughter has been with the Caterpillars team since October 2017 and, since then, has come on leaps and bounds. The team are professional, attentive to our daughter’s needs, caring, fun and reassuring.

Our child is stimulated, entertained, educated, loved by staff and we wouldn’t send him anywhere else.
