We meet monthly (usually, but not always, on the 2nd Saturday - check website for dates) from 10 am to 5 pm
We play modern board and card games - economic games, civilisation building games, wargames and just plain fun games!
What can we tell you about the games we aim to offer? Several of us have fairly large game collections, and will bring a fair few of them along to meetings. The games played at our recent meetings included (in no particular order):
- Conflict of Heroes
- Dungeon Lord
- Taj Mahal
- Nicht die Bohne
- Judge Dread
- After the Flood
- Le Havre
You can see we like a broad range of games, from relatively simple family games through to the more serious games.
Why not come along to meet us on Saturday 10th April at 10am - 5pm?
See our website for more details on us, what we do and how you can join in the fun too.
I have been attending this group for about two years now and have always been made to feel very welcome. There is a wide variety of games to suit all interests, level and age group.
It can be difficult as a single woman to find such a friendly group where everybody is welcome and no one which is dominated by men playing war games... although there is some one on one type games available if that is your interest.
Come along and see you never know you just may enjoy playing games and making new friends
This is a really good way to spend a Saturday. They have a wide range of games - to suit everyone from kids and beginners to the realy serious stuff. All the members I've met (all different ages, etc) are friendly, welcoming and heplful. If you don't know much about board games when you arrive you certainly will by the time you leave. If you're already an enthusiast you'll find plenty of like minded people. It's much better than sitting in front of the computer!
A fun day of modern board games in a friendly and welcoming environment. A regular monthly event for me.
If you have any interest in card or board games then this meet-up is definitely worth a visit.
