Testimonials

Although not what you would call a "local" I have seen the Bell managed by a number of good landlords, at present it has to be at it's best from an all round view. It has the magical mix of being good for a drink and watching the football(or any topical sport) but also the benefit of being able to come for a meal with the children/family as well. The food is good and the price makes it fantastic value with the added benefit of friendly staff. I have been there with visitors on a few occassions recently as I love it's good "British Pub" feel.

I went to the Golden Bell on a stop from my barge boat holiday. I was made to feel so welcome by all the team wheter it was late at night or first thing in the morning. The couple who run the pub were very accomodating and the pub had customers of all ages. The food was amazing and at a great price. the pub was clean and fresh on both visits. definately a winner for me, even after a few real ales.

Certainly the best pub in town. No other pub gives you a warm greeting, good clean drinks, great grub, and says goodbye to you as you leave. Every customer is valued highly and on the odd occasion I drink elsewhere - I always end up regretting it!

When i get out which isn't often i like to visit the Golden Bell. Its certainly one of the best pubs in town.
