Leighton Buzzard submits its Portas bid
Leighton Buzzard has submitted its bid to shopping guru Mary Portas hoping to secure much-needed cash for its market.
Up to £100,000 is up for grabs in the Portas Pilot Bid which, if successful, Leighton would spend on improving the market and High Street.
Central Bedfordshire Council's Steve Lakin collected information to compile the written bid, while our Features Editor Sarah Holmes wrote the script for the video entry. The video was filmed and compiled by Stephen Rhodes.
Many others from the community, including Leighton-Linslade Town Council, helped in the making of the video and the final written entry.
